Dumfries is the largest town in Dumfries & Galloway and a warm welcome awaits all visitors. The main shopping area, with over 250 shops, is a two minute walk from your hotel. There are a large number of visitor attractions are on our doorstep including the Robert Burns Centre.

Situated in the town's 18th century watermill on the west bank of the River Nith, the Burns Centre tells the story of his last years spent in the bustling streets and lively atmosphere of Dumfries in the 18th century. The exhibition is illuminated by many original manuscripts and belongings of the poet. There is a fascinating scale model of Dumfries in the 1790s and a haunting audio-visual presentation. There are museum trails and fun activities and visitor information to help you explore Dumfries and Galloway.

The Barracuda Club boasts some of the finest hotel leisure facilities available in the area. Reivers Restaurant in the hotel is for fine dining whilst Sawney Beans Restaurant offers a less formal eating experience. Regular entertainment in the hotel includes Dinner Dances, Ceilidhs and Cabaret Nights with fantastic tribute acts.
